After School Program

LEAP is offered every day school is in session from 2:50-6:00 PM for Pre-K/K and from 3:10-6:00 PM for 1st-5th grade. Care is also available on early dismissal days and select no school days (pre-registration and additional fees apply).

LEAP is not offered during winter break, mid-winter break, or spring break.

Our program extends the Bertschi experience by offering a balance of structured time with free time and play. For grades 1-5, we creatively plan activities that combine sports and recreation, art, drama, and science, alongside time for students to choose their own play activities indoors or outdoors. Pre-K and kindergarten students have a dedicated teacher who specializes in supporting younger learners in their own after-school group, offering read alouds, movement, arts and crafts, and outside free play.

In addition to regular activities, we offer a rotation of special after-school clubs three times per year that span a creative reach: from sewing and basketball, to chess, mandarin, or crafting/sculpting. These are separate from the general LEAP programming and registration, but students can participate in both.

Below are the rates for the 2024-25 school year. Financial aid is offered for full-time LEAP enrollment. Cost for after-school clubs is not included in the full-time rate.

• Full-time LEAP: $5,660 (K-5)/$4,650 (pre-K only)
• Drop-in rate: $39 per day (all grades)
• No school full day: $93.50
• No school half day: $73.50
• After-school clubs: variable

There is a snack charge for pre-K/K students who use LEAP from 3:00 -3:15 PM, and for 1st-5th grade students from 3:15-3:30 PM. Late pickups after 6:00 PM may incur a late fee.
