Where are the Okanogan Highlands in Washington State?

The Okanogan Highlands are in the northeast corner of Washington State. The Okanogan Highlands are mostly rivers that were formed by the last Ice Age. The Mountains are some of the oldest mountains in the state, and were formed as part of The Rockies; they were made because of tectonic plate movement. Goode Mountain is the highest point in the Okanogan Highlands. It is 9,134 ft high. The region has five river valleys. There are three large rivers.  The rivers are  the Sanpoil River, the Columbia River, the Okanogan River, The Colville River, and the Pend Oreille River.

The precipitation is mostly snow in the winter. There are up to forty inches of snow each year. There are twenty to thirty inches of rain each year.

The agriculture of the Okanogan Highlands is based in the river valleys. There, they grow vegetables, grass, and alfalfa-for the animals. Evergreen trees are grown in the mountains. They also raise sheep and cattle. All the crops are raised in the river valleys, while the animals are raised  higher up in the hills.
